The Clearance House (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates theclearancehouse.com. We are a deal aggregation platform based in Canada. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
2. What we collect
Information you provide:
- Email address (required to create an account)
- Name and profile photo (only if you sign in with Google)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details)
Information collected automatically:
- Pages visited and features used (for product improvement)
- Browser type, device type, and general location (country/region)
- Session cookies required to keep you signed in
We do not collect or store payment card details. We do not build advertising profiles.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To process subscription payments and issue receipts
- To send transactional emails (welcome, referral rewards, account notices)
- To improve the service based on how it is used
- To respond to support requests and brand takedown notices
We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link in the message.
4. Third-party services
We use the following services to operate the platform. Each has its own privacy policy:
Authentication, user database, and session management.
Subscription billing and payment processing. We never store card details.
Transactional email delivery (welcome emails, referral notifications).
DNS, CDN, DDoS protection, and email routing for our domain.
Website hosting and deployment infrastructure.
Optional sign-in method — only used if you choose to sign in with Google.
5. Cookies

6. Data storage and transfers
Your account data is stored on Supabase's hosted infrastructure, which may be located outside Canada (including the United States). By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We ensure that any transfers are subject to safeguards consistent with PIPEDA.
7. Data retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., billing records retained for 7 years per Canadian tax requirements).
8. Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data
- File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us immediately if you believe we have inadvertently collected such information.
10. Changes to this policy
Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
